Ms. Gladys Wright was born in Broward County, Florida on December 31, 1947, to the late Moses & Cloan Williams. On April 13, 2021 in her home, Fort  Lauderdale, Florida, Gladys Wright was called home to Glory.

Gladys William’s(as she was affectionately called) earlier years were spent in the city of Fort Lauderdale where she attended Walker Elementary School and later attended Dillard High School. Gladys worked as a Food  Service Attendant at Broward General Medical Center where she retired after 30 years plus. She then worked at Broward General as a sitter and after that as a Food Attendant for Broward County School Board at Plantation Park Elementary.

Gladys lived a life full of enjoyment spending time with her daughter ”Teddy” and granddaughter “Pink”. Gladys was an extremely patient person . She devoted time caring for her mother and Mr. House, which are both now deceased. She enjoyed making folk laugh and socializing daily with neighbors and coworkers. She had a gift of making a stranger feel secure in conversation. She was a light in the lives of anyone she knew. She was the Family “Glue.” Gladys was a teacher. She LOVED to Cook. She put love into everything she touched; her food, her love for dogs, her love for children, and her love for listening to others. Gladys had a smile that could stop traffic. She had a special gift for growing plants and flowers, she even took the time to talk to them. She was truly a precious Gem to us all and we will miss her dearly.
