October 7, 1954 –  April 1, 2021

Mrs. Lena Alston Williams was born on October 7, 1954 in Fort Lauderdale at Provident Hospital by the beloved Dr. Sistrunk. She was born to the parents of Mary Shoalts Alston and Turner Alston Sr.

She was raised and grew up in Fort Lauderdale and graduated Dillard High School in 1972. She went on to obtain her nursing license at Sheridan Vocational Center where she became an LPN. She touched so many lives as a nurse for over 40 years. She spent much of her career with Henderson Mental Health center where the patients loved her because she treated them as human beings and not just patients. She received warm gifts and thanks from patients over the years.

Lena was married to Shellie Leonard Williams on October 22, 1977 in a beautiful home ceremony. Their union brought forth their daughter Tanica Nichole Williams.

On Thursday afternoon, April 1, 2021 Lena departed this life in the arms of the Lord.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Tanica, two grandsons Jaydon Leonard Seth Williams and Josiah Amari Williams: her loving siblings Barbara Moxey and Barry Alston.
